It is now evident how the advent of adhesive techniques has revolutionized everyday dentistry, allowing us to rehabilitate teeth and mouths with approaches that were unthinkable some years ago. This evolution has changed not only conservative dentistry but also prosthetic rehabilitation. However, adhesion and its materials require the application of strict and precise clinical protocols to achieve medium- to long-term effectiveness with both direct and indirect restorations. Today we are living in the era of simplification, in which we are offered materials that are easier to use and manage. Universal adhesives, universal cements, CAD-CAM materials and digital workflows represent the everyday adhesive restorative that the dental office can rely on today. But, what do we need to know about these materials? How should they be applied for them to work well? Let us then try to shed some light on what are the restorative clinical practices that represent the everyday of our beautiful profession.
